One of our long-time members thought that there had to be a better way to lift Wall and Celling boards in multi story buildings. The old way of putting board on wooden pallets seem cumbersome and a WHS issue trying to stack and get the pallets back to the ground. This was costly both for the manufacturer and the contractor.
Thankfully, the major manufactures have come up with a way to do it without pallets. The science around this has been tested, proven and supported by significant stakeholders. Watch this space for more...
Paint & Plaster Display
We have brought Master Painters Queensland, Master Builders Queensland, HIA Queensland to the table address the important industry issue of Paint and Plaster finishes. Traditionally, Painters and Plasterers are at conflict about the finish of the walls and ceilings and who is at fault when the finish is not as expected.
We are determined to collaboratively look at the situation, understand the issue as a whole industry and then start to change behaviours, so that the finish is acceptable by all.
This is about recognising the truth (types of Finishing comparisons) understanding it (seeing what people see when certain things are not done) and then implementing it (by practicing it because it gives a better finish)
The Paint and Plaster Display will demonstrate outcomes of paint and plaster techniques. You are invited to come along and bring a painter and/or a builder. A video and booklet will be available to go out to all members of the associations mentioned above.
